This depends on if you are planning to return to work after re-entering the United States.
If you plan to return to work, follow the directions found in your GEO Resources under Resources> Travel the USA! > Traveling Outside the U.S.
W-2s are issued by your host organization (employer). You can expect to receive your W-2 form the February AFTER you arrive to the United States. Be sure to leave your address in your HOME COUNTRY with ever host organization (employer) so they can send you your W-2.
Example: If you arrive to the United States in May 2018, you can expect to receive your W-2 form in February 2019.
